Committees of the Women's Council

Membership Committee:
Chair: Katie Middleton, President Elect, Women’s Council HBASC

The Membership Committee objectives are focused on cultivating and tracking WC Membership and Member Benefits & Services. Meetings will be held on a monthly basis and additional work sessions may be required as needed. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Management of WC Member Roster, WC Member Benefits, Membership Packets, Member Recognition Programs, and Planning & Implementation of Membership Drives (WC & HBA).

Join our meetings: 12:00 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month at Pine River Valley Bank, Durango

Program Committee:
Chair: Christine Serwe, Vice President, Women’s Council HBASC

The Program Committee strives to provide quality presenters and programs that promote, enhance and support home building and women within the industry. Meetings will be held on an “as needed” basis. Responsibilities include Planning and Implementation of Speakers and Programs for the Calendar Year, Selection and Coordination of Catering, All Duties Pertaining to Administration of Lunch Meetings, to Include Communication to Membership.

Scholarship Committee:
Chair: Janet Enge, Member at Large, Women’s Council HBASC

The Scholarship Committee objectives are centered on building and managing a working relationship with local education providers to identify and implement scholarship opportunities for individuals seeking education in the construction industry. Meetings will be held on an “as needed” basis. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Establishing Relationships with Local Education Providers, Creation of Application and Process for Administering Scholarship Dollars, Selection and Recognition of Students to Receive Dollars, and All Duties Required for Documentation of Scholarship Money.

ADHOC Committee:
Chair: Andrea Clough, President, Women’s Council HBASC

These individual committees will plan, organize, and implement Special Events as requested by the HBASC and Women’s Council Boards.
